Really out of my comfort zone to just “make it up” LOL, but this was delicious. Made enough for two hungry people on a really cold night. 2 slices bacon Medium onion 10 baby red potatoes 2 carrots Kosher salt and black pepper Smoked paprika (which I think made a HUGE difference) 1 C frozen corn 4 C fish stock .5 C white wine .25 C heavy cream 8 oz cod
Don't cut the raw fish into chunks. Immerse the entire fillets in the liquid; they'll break up naturally as soon as they're cooked through.
try with coconut milk (full fat) really, really amazing...with some crushed lemongrass...
USE veggie bulliion and add celery and use lots of veggies
This is years after this non-recipe was published, but I was so happy to have found it and made it tonight. Last night I cooked a very expensive piece of fresh halibut for the two of us, which we didn't come close to finishing. This was a perfect follow-up. I left out the dairy part, but had everything else, including fresh thyme and sage leaves from my garden. I used chicken bone broth from our local butcher, vermouth and clam juice from a bottle. So very good! Thank you for this!
Made it essentially as written. Added 12 mussels along with the fish. Added an ear of corn. Used mostly clam juice, some water and wine. Dill at the end. Delicious!
